Fictive Kinship

"Fictive kinship is the process of giving someone a kinship title and treating them as if they had the actual kinship relationship implied by the title. People with this relationship are known as fictive kin. Fictive kinship is also known as relatedness."

There are many people whom I should like to "adopt", without the filial/paternal aspect, more along the lines of "sibling-ry". Know they will always be around somehow, even if they live across the planet and that our links are as indissoluble as blood bonds - no more, no less, perhaps differently. I believe that we shouldn't only have contracts, covenants, bonds for marriage, but also for this feeling of encompassing and love.
I am a big fan of self-chosen clans, communities, groups, tribes, associations...etc,
but then,
